Paraffin Wax or Petroleum Wax is a soft colourless solid derived from petroleum, coal or oil shale that consists of a mixture of hydrocarbon molecules containing between twenty and forty carbon atoms. It is solid at room temperature and begins to melt above approximately 37 <\/span>\u00b0<\/span>C (99 <\/span>\u00b0<\/span>F) and its boiling point is above 370 <\/span>\u00b0<\/span>C (698<\/span>\u00b0<\/span>\u00a0F).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Paraffin wax is a white or colorless soft, solid wax. It’s made from saturated hydrocarbons. It’s often used in skin-softening salon and spa treatments on the hands, cuticles, and feet because it’s colorless, tasteless, and odorless. It can also be used to provide pain relief to sore joints and muscles.<\/span><\/p>

Paraffin wax is obtained from petroleum by dewaxing light lubricating oil stocks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
